Book Review: When They Find Her By Lia Middleton

Plot:

NAOMI ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A MOTHER.

But three years ago, her husband left, taking their child with him.

Now, her daughter has come to stay, and Naomi knows it’s her one chance to re-build her family. But the night ends in a terrible accident. And Naomi tells a lie she can never take back:

NAOMI REPORTS HER DAUGHTER MISSING.

Within hours, her home is invaded. Journalists crowd the driveway. Police search the woods at the foot of the garden. Her ex-husband paces the hall.

And Naomi can’t look away. Because the only thing worse than the lie she’s told is the truth:

NAOMI HAS NO MEMORY OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED THAT NIGHT . . .

Review:

Some people shouldn’t be allowed to parent together is the sum up of this novel!

At first the woman really annoyed me as she had toxic support around her, (the baby’s father). Turns out when you have a toxic partner and then a baby arrives you turn into a paranoid bitch. Which is why some people shouldn’t have children to each other otherwise they are left with zero friends when those friends (Helen) was trying to actually help her!

Which is only realised at the very end after she served her sentence for lying to the police and claiming the daughter is missing when really it was baby’s fathers fault!.

I really enjoyed the plot. The main character was super annoying so she was very well developed as a character. As a person she is a bit loony / Dipsy.
