Book Review: Thursday Murder Club By Richard Osman

Plot:

In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet up once a week to investigate unsolved murders.

But when a brutal killing takes place on their very doorstep, the Thursday Murder Club find themselves in the middle of their first live case. Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron might be pushing eighty but they still have a few tricks up their sleeves.

Can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer before it’s too late?

Review:

I think the first time there was so many big personalities to get into that I was trying to understand it step by step slowly which annoyed me. However, by listening to the second novel and now the first, I got into this one much better. It was so fun and engaging.

I really enjoyed the environment it was set in. A bunch of elderly people who are not even friends to begin with form a club and discover real life mysteries together.

Each character is dynamic and full of life in their own ways with many secrets and humour of course.
